Streamline Your Marketing: How To Craft Time-Saving Templates in ClickUp

If you’re a service provider or small business owner, you know just how important it is to stay organized and plan ahead with your business. Especially when it comes to staying active with your marketing. One way to ensure you never drop the ball on your internal marketing efforts again is to start relying on templates, workflows, and organizing everything you’ll need to create (social posts, email newsletters, blog posts, etc.) inside of a comprehensive content calendar. This is where my favorite platform, ClickUp comes in.

ClickUp is a productivity tool that can help you create and manage your content calendar with ease – along with streamlining just about everything you’re doing in your business. In this article, we’ll be exploring the possibilities ClickUp provides to improve your marketing efforts.

Why Use ClickUp Templates?

ClickUp templates can save you time and effort when creating new projects or tasks. Templates provide a pre-built structure that you can customize to fit your specific needs, eliminating the need to start from scratch every time. By creating templates for common tasks or projects you know you’ll be completing frequently, you can ensure that you don’t miss any steps and are able to follow the same process without fail.

If you’re a small business owner who’s DIYing all of your marketing efforts, I would recommend coming up with a few templates for social media management, email marketing, blogging, and overall project management for your marketing campaigns.

Below you’ll find a screenshot of a custom template that auto-populates in ClickUp every time I mark a long-form piece of content as a Blog Post using custom fields and ClickUp automation. In this example, you can see the inner workings of how I began to fill in the details for this specific blog post.

Benefits of Using a Customized Content Calendar Template

A personalized content calendar template can significantly benefit small businesses and service providers. If you’re not sold, here are some ways it can help:

1. Consistency in Posting Schedule

A customized content calendar template helps to plan and organize content creation and publishing. It ensures that content is published consistently, which is essential for building an engaged audience.

2. Improved Collaboration

With a content calendar, team members can collaborate more effectively on content creation and scheduling. Everyone can see what’s coming up and contribute ideas or feedback, making the process more efficient.

3. Time Management

A content calendar helps to manage time more effectively by planning ahead and avoiding last-minute rushes. It also allows for better allocation of resources, such as assigning tasks to team members based on their strengths and availability.

4. Tracking Progress

By using a content calendar, businesses can track their progress and adjust their strategy accordingly. They can analyze which types of content perform best and make data-driven decisions about future content creation.

Introducing The ClickUp Content Calendar System

The ClickUp Content Calendar System was designed specifically for social media managers, content marketers, solopreneurs, and content creators like you.

I understand the challenges you face as a small business owner — whether you’re juggling multiple client accounts or simply handling all of your internal marketing efforts while managing the moving parts of your content. That’s why I’ve created a game-changing tool tailored to your needs using ClickUp.

With this ClickUp content calendar template, you’re gaining access to a world of possibilities.

The custom list views feature multiple dropdowns, empowering you to organize your content by pillars, themes, formats, and more. There won’t be anymore struggling to find an elusive piece of content amidst the chaos.

The board views we’ve constructed offer a bird’s-eye perspective, enabling you to visualize all working pieces of content with ease. And with the table views, you have a complete content archiveat your fingertips.

The ClickUp Content Calendar System is far beyond simply being just another content calendar.

It was also designed to become your trusted ally in organizing internal brand assets, facilitating internal meeting communication, tracking social metrics, and unleashing your content ideation potential.

Within the overall template itself, I’ve set you up for success with a slew of pre-built ‘mini templates’ and easy-to-use workflows for additional time-saving productivity.

I totally understand the frustrations you’ve faced trying to make a downloadable content calendar work, even if it never quite fits the bill.

It’s kinda like searching for the perfect paper planner – it’s always so close to what you want but is never quite hitting the mark.

Which is why I’ve developed this customizable content calendar system using a platform that puts the power of productivity back in your hands. So what do you say, are you ready to streamline your content creation process, in the way that works best for you?

How to Create Your Own Templates in ClickUp

I’ve added a few pre-built templates into the ClickUp Content Calendar System to help you get started on your blog posts, podcast episodes, and email newsletters. But if you already have a systemized process for your content creation efforts… Great!

Create a template of the task inside of ClickUp so you don’t have to redo the steps each time.

Here’s how:

  1. Start by creating a task or project that you want to use as a template.
  2. Once you have created the task or project, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the task/project window.
  3. Select “Make Template” from the dropdown menu.
  4. Give your template a name and select which elements you want to include in the template (e.g. checklists, custom fields, attachments).
  5. Click “Create Template” and your template will be saved.

Conclusion

Overall, ClickUp can benefit small business owners by helping them save time, stay organized, and improve the quality and consistency of their marketing efforts. By using templates, you can streamline your workflow and focus on other important aspects of running your business. So why not give it a try and see how much time you can save?
